The body is red, filled with gold peacock roundels — birds in profile, tails fanned, set inside circles that repeat across the silk. Along the lower edge the red gives way to a purple temple border, gold triangles pointing upward. And then the pallu goes royal blue: a wide brocade panel of lotus forms and paisley, worked in gold, closing with a fringe.

The blouse answers with both — red bodice, purple checked sleeves, and a peacock worked in coloured maggam thread on the chest.
