Elephants, deer and lions, walking in columns down the body in silver and gold. This is the old Kanchipuram vocabulary — animals in procession, the way they appear on temple walls — and it has not needed updating.

The ground is pink. The pallu turns parrot green, filled with elephant roundels worked in tonal green and gold, edged with a checked zari band and closed with green tassels.
