The body is organza — light, faintly sheer, carrying rows of gold flower butas that sit up off the surface. The border runs a fine paisley band along the length. The pallu opens into full banarasi: gold paisleys layered over one another, silver highlights threaded through, closing in a soft fringe.

The blouse is coral silk with beadwork fanned across each sleeve in scalloped rows and a shaped back with tasselled ties.
